Hi! I'm Ashley Paxton M.S. CCC-SLP
I'm a speech-language pathologist (SLP) with over 10 years of experience helping people communicate and find their voice. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of settings—including early intervention, public and charter schools, clinics, and teletherapy.
I like to say I started my teletherapy journey before it became the norm—and I absolutely love it! Virtual sessions allow me to connect with clients in meaningful, flexible, and effective ways, no matter where they are.
I earned my B.S. in Communication Sciences & Disorders from Biola University in 2013 and my M.S. from Chapman University in 2016. I'm licensed to practice in California, Texas, and Idaho and hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

What Makes My
Practice Different?

My private practice is built around one clear goal: delivering effective, engaging, evidence-based speech therapy—through teletherapy. I specialize in speech sound disorders, with a particular focus on that notoriously tricky R sound. In fact, I’m proud to have a 100% success rate in remediating R!
Every session is tailored to the individual, with a balance of fun and focus. I use interactive games to keep clients motivated, while maximizing speech productions and progress. Behind the scenes, my approach is grounded in proven methods like minimal pairs, multiple oppositions, and the cycles approach.
Families are kept informed and involved every step of the way, because progress happens faster when we work as a team. Whether you're across town or across the state, I'm here to help your child speak more clearly and confidently—from the comfort of home.

Virtual Speech, Telespeech,Teletherapy…
Whatever you call it, many families are choosing speech therapy via telepractice and here’s why:
Convenience
As a parent, I know how busy life is with kids! Telepractice allows your child to receive speech services in the comfort of your home. It allows you to listen in on their sessions and be an active participant. There’s neither a long commute nor an uncomfortable waiting room. Quality speech services delivered to your child in the comfort of your home!
Limiting Barriers
Whether you live in a rural area, work full-time, have a packed schedule, or your local clinic has a six month waiting list, there are many barriers that prevent families from receiving speech therapy services. That’s why I started this practice, to serve families in need today!
Research Supports Effectiveness:
Research confirms that telepractice is as effective as in-person speech therapy. Just take a look at these studies!
